Differences that change choice

From site inventory

List every domain, application, database and mailbox. A hosting service may support the website without including exactly the email service you use. Also record the programming language versions and scheduled tasks you need. The number of domains alone is not a sufficient technical inventory.

The PlanetHoster documentation distinguishes the redesign of The World from previous contracts. Ask what organization of projects and resources applies to your estimate. Reusing an old overall capacity in a price comparison would give false equivalence.

Separate Location and Measured Quality

Check the location available for each offer as well as your data processing needs. The proximity of a server is one of several loading factors: cache, images, code and external services are also involved.

To compare costs, add the initial period and renewal, then the necessary options. At Hostinger, check the amount in the billing section; at PlanetHoster, match the projects of the estimate to the sites of your inventory.

Preparing a controllable migration

Copy a secondary site first. Check connection, form, receipt of emails and automatic tasks before changing DNS. Prepare an intervention window and a documented backend. Control the inside pages and functions of the site after opening the welcome.

Choose the offer whose limits are included and the operation accessible to your team. If you manage several small sites, look at their isolation and how to diagnose a project that consumes too much. The support must be evaluated on a specific technical request, without turning an announced availability into a guaranteed resolution time.

Three windows and one store: building a workable inventory

Let us take this case: one company has three little-modified presentation sites and one shop with daily orders. Counting them as four domains does not describe the burden or risk of operation. For each site, note the application, associated emails, expected backup frequency and the person responsible for a restoration.

This coexistence requires confirmation of the scope of the estimate. • Request a separate line for the merchant site and specify the resources, backups and options included.
• Identify services that would remain elsewhere: domain, email, file storage or sending messages.
• On a copy of the shop, have a fictitious order and a recent restoration checked before any migration.

Choose a configuration whose cost remains understandable after the first period and whose incidents have an identified lead. No speed benchmarks or actual response times are available in this review; the "isolated" or "semi-dedicated" character is not sufficient to demonstrate measured performance.
