A person can own multiple devices without connecting them all at the same time. Inventory the computers, phones and other equipment that will use the VPN together. Also check the supported systems and functions available in each application.

Surfshark's VPN allowance does not mean its antivirus covers unlimited devices. The products have separate conditions, and antivirus protection is not installed in the same way on every system. With NordVPN, options also vary by plan and platform.

Assess behavior on your connection

A focus of twelve devices: counting useful connections, then trying

Let us take this case: one home has four phones, three computers, two tablets and three televisions. Twelve devices possessed do not mean twelve simultaneous VPN connections. Note those that require the VPN and their system lets you know if the ceiling influences the choice.

1. Establish a device list, system, compatible application and period of use.

4. Compare the total paid for the initial period and renewal, with the only options used.

If only six devices connect at a time, the limit does not solve any ceiling in this example. If eleven applications are to remain connected, it becomes a concrete criterion to be checked in the test.
