Is Namecheap worth considering?
Yes if you recognize yourself here: independents wanting to centralize domains and web services. Domains, hosting, SSL and web services. Less suitable for: teams looking for a high-end managed WordPress host. In this case, look at an alternative of the same category.

Official visual of Namecheap: what it represents
Namecheap Domain List in the official bulk DNS management documentation. This is an official product visual, distinct from an interface screenshot. Logicelio relates it to the product’s positioning, “Domain registration, hosting and business email”, and to these features: website addresses and domains, website hosting and business email. It makes no claims about elements that are not visible in the image.
The visual comes from an official Namecheap resource.

What to remember before choosing Namecheap
Namecheap offers several services to be compared separately. Registering a domain does not publish a site; hosting a site does not necessarily provide the desired email offer. For a small business, the right decision is to define what is already missing in its installation, then compare the initial price and the renewal of these services only.

What Namecheap offers on a daily basis
The Domains section presents registration and transfer. The domain is an address and asset to manage, not the content of the site. Separate the holder, account access and DNS settings from the creation of the pages helps to keep control of the address when a provider creates or resumes the site.
Namecheap distinguishes several hosting families, including WordPress and shared hosting. The relevant perimeter depends on the site to be operated. Comparing offers therefore requires keeping the same type of site, the same file and backup requirements, and the same sharing of responsibilities with your provider.
Private Email is presented with boxes, aliases, webmail and calendar. It's about messaging linked to your business address, not proof of marketing campaign functions. The choice concerns users and the continuity of exchanges; sending a newsletter to a contact base is a separate decision.
The supplier's headings also distinguish SSL certificates and DNS services. The point to check is not to subscribe to each option: it is to identify those already included in the hosting or provided elsewhere. Keeping a deadline statement and managers avoids estimating the overall cost from the domain name alone.
When this option makes sense
Who it is for: services required for their web presence.
When to look at another approach: For a need centered on the visual creation of a site, only comparing a domain name is not enough. Choose the creation system and its hosting in addition to the address.
Example: a site already hosted and a business address to create
A self-employed professional already has a website and wants an email address using her domain name. She does not necessarily need new hosting: first identify the domain in use and the current email service. Compare the mailboxes required, the email software used and the configuration steps. Conversely, moving a WordPress website does not require moving every email address at the same time. These two processes involve different risks and responsibilities. A simple diagram of providers helps avoid paying for a broader offer before identifying the service actually missing.
Price: what you really need to budget
Limits that may change your mind
Namecheap is considered easy to use for buying and managing domains, with privacy included; some renewals can nevertheless become much more expensive. The verified entry price is 2,28 $US/month (Stellar promotion; renewal at 5,88 $US/month). Namecheap focuses on domains and accessible hosting; premium managed WordPress with extensive application support is a different proposition. Compare renewal, storage, traffic, backups and excluded services: the introductory price does not represent the full cost.

Three checks to see if Namecheap suits you
Mapping a simple installation: domain, destination DNS, hosting and email boxes, then comparing their renewal costs.
- List what you already have
Record the domain, its owner, the hosting provider and the service that receives email. Note who has access and who receives renewal reminders. You do not need to buy a test domain to understand these responsibilities and avoid duplicate subscriptions.
- Compare constant perimeter services
For the domain, compare the same extension and the renewal price. For hosting, use the same site and operational needs. For email, keep the same number of mailboxes. Do not present three separate prices as a supposed single Namecheap subscription.
- Prepare any changes without interrupting the activity
Keep existing settings before changing a destination DNS or migrate messages. Set the order of operations and how to return to the previous state. The site and emails may have different providers; one operation on one should not be considered as a test without consequences on the other.
What TechRadar actually tested
This test was carried out by TechRadar, not by Logicelio. I cite it to provide a perspective based on actual use, without adopting its verdict as my own.
The protocol announced: Purchase of two domains, dashboard test, DNS management and price comparison.
Namecheap is considered very easy to use for buying and managing domains, with privacy included; some renewals can nevertheless become significantly more expensive.
