ESET will not suit every business. Use the replacement criteria below and compare reviews covering the same needs where available.
ESET is presented as endpoint protection and cybersecurity for businesses. Its review focuses on workstation and device protection with centralised administration. Before migrating, check that the new solution actually improves this aspect without creating difficulties around the number of devices and users, and the selected protection level.
Endpoint protection and cybersecurity for businesses
workstation and device protection with centralised administration
the number of devices and users, and the level of protection selected
Migration test. Choose a plan for a few workstations and document who is responsible for monitoring them.
Each alternative below is compared with ESET in terms of its purpose, intended users and main cost drivers.
Compare job protection on the same systems and the same type of offer. An enterprise suite and an individual license require different checks.
Antivirus and security for individuals and small businesses
To confront ESET: antivirus protection and device security. The cost to monitor side Avast is the number of devices, modules and level of protection, against the number of devices, users and the level of protection retained side ESET.
Endpoint security and antivirus for individuals and businesses
To confront ESET: multi-device protection with offers also for companies. The cost to be monitored side by side Bitdefender is the number of devices, users and security modules retained, against the number of devices, users and the level of protection retained side by side ESET.
Endpoint security suite and access protection
To confront ESET: a broader security approach around endpoints and access. The cost to be monitored side by side Heimdal Security is the modules activated, the number of endpoints and the level of service, against the number of devices, users and the level of protection retained side by side ESET.
Antivirus and cybersecurity solutions for multiple devices
To confront ESET: multi-device antivirus and security protection. The cost to be monitored side by side Kaspersky is the number of devices, duration and protection features included, against the number of devices, users and the level of protection retained side by side ESET.
Protection against malware and endpoint threats
To confront ESET: Protection against malware and threats on workstations and devices. Costs to check for Malwarebytes: the number of devices and the business features enabled; for ESET: the number of devices and users, and the selected protection level.
Test the same scenario in two products. Same data, same duration. If the alternative does not remove any concrete blocking, migration is probably not worth the time it will cost.
