Hostinger or Kinsta: choose according to site maintenance
For a simple showcase site, first compare a sufficient Hostinger plan and its renewal. For a store where every deployment can touch commands, look especially at Kinsta pre-production and selective deployment tools. The additional cost is only justified if this operation meets a real need; no speed advantage is measured in this folder.

Differences that change choice
| Need | Hostinger | Kinsta |
|---|---|---|
| Projected cost | Promotion duration, renewal and precise WordPress plan functions. | Package metrics, resources and possible overruns. |
| Update | Verify that the chosen plan includes the necessary test route. | Documentation details pre-production and selective sending of files or tables. |
| Recent orders | Confirm what a publication or restoration replaces. | A send from the database can overwrite the data created from the copy. |
Identify what needs to be exploited
A rarely modified showcase site and an active shop do not expose the same difficulties. List plugins, scheduled tasks, forms and order processing. Check the support perimeter: Hosting support does not automatically replace the maintenance of extensions or business code.
Kinsta distinguishes among other things offers according to visits or bandwidth. Identify the exact metric of the estimate. At Hostinger, control the level that contains the required WordPress functions, rather than assigning the capabilities of the higher range to all planes.
Compare two years and a breakdown
Record the initial payment, term covered, renewal price, add-ons and overage charges. With Hostinger, check the renewal amount in the billing section. For Kinsta, include any backup or resource needs that exceed the base plan.
Also prepare a restore exercise on a test copy. Check the backup date, time needed to restore service and data created since the backup. Restoring a store can lose recent orders if done without care; your choice must take this procedure into account.
Decide with a representative site
Use the same copy of WordPress, the same media and extensions. Compare a light page, a heavy page and a dynamic path. Do not confuse the result of a cached page with that of the basket or administration.
Hostinger may be suitable if the plan meets the needs with a controlled operation. Kinsta may be relevant if its tools and resource model respond to an identified constraint. The additional cost must correspond to a service used, not a general promise of performance.
Example: Change theme without losing last commands
Let us take this case: a shop prepares a new presentation on Monday and continues to sell before its publication on Thursday. The Monday copy does not contain Tuesday orders. The decisive topic is therefore the method of placing it online, not the number of clicks needed to make it.
The Kinsta documentation separates a single file from a base shipment and allows a selection of tables. It also specifies that the settings entered in the WordPress administration are often found in the database. Deploying only files does not automatically transmit a new theme setting.
- On a test copy, list each modification: file, content or setting. Identify where it is stored.
- Create a fictitious command after the initial copy, then verify that it remains present after simulated deployment.
- Check test payment, confirmation email, stock and back. Note who can intervene in case of failure.
The decision for a small business
If your site receives neither orders nor signups between updates, this complexity may be limited: an appropriate plan and maintenance can suffice. If the site changes continuously, require your provider to demonstrate a procedure on a copy, whichever host you choose. No live deployment or incident was reproduced for this analysis.
