With NordVPN, check what the plan adds to the VPN and whether those features are available on your devices. A broader package is useful only if its components meet a need. Do not count features already covered by another subscription twice.

Test the network on which you depend

Record the initial term and the renewal price. Pages may show dynamic amounts depending on the country or promotion; check the checkout total before buying. If a price fails to load on the page, do not interpret that as a zero price.

Choose Proton VPN if the offer and any integration with your existing services make sense. Choose NordVPN if its applications and plan better match your use. Keep devices updated, protect access and check suspicious requests, even when using a VPN.

A business trip: a test to compare the two VPN services

Consider this example: a freelancer uses a computer and a phone for her appointments, video calls and quoting software. Her problem is not connecting ten devices, but regaining a stable connection after each network change. 1. On an authorized test network, open the estimate software and a fictitious meeting. Note the device, VPN application and server selected.
2. Switch from Wi-Fi to shared phone connection. Take note if the meeting resumes, if the VPN reconnects and how many manipulations are needed.
3. Return to Wi-Fi and put the computer on standby and wake it up. Check the business software again.
4. Separately control the configured operation if the VPN is shut down. Do not deduce the actual protection from the mere presence of an icon.

When to keep the existing subscription

If these uses reveal no obstacle and the VPN is already included, switching must offer another specific benefit: better device support, an essential setting or a lower total cost. For several employees, ask for a plan and permissions suited to the team; ten connections do not mean ten business accounts that can be managed separately.
