What to remember before choosing Shine

The first decision at Shine is which product you need. Shine Compte Pro addresses business bank account needs; Shine Facture provides invoicing and bookkeeping preparation. Their shared brand does not make their prices, access rights or features interchangeable. This review focuses primarily on Shine Facture, which is relevant if your current bank account already suits you and you need a tool for quotes, invoices and purchases.

What Shine offers on a daily basis

01
Quotes and invoices according to the size of your base

The Shine Facture comparison lists Free with a database of five customers; Start provides unlimited customers and customisation features. For a consultant with three regular clients, the limit may be acceptable. For a business invoicing new individual customers every week, it can quickly change the decision even at low turnover.

02
Recurrent functions in Plus

The Plus plan highlights recurring invoices, multiple currencies, automatic reminders and access for an additional team member. The relevant criterion is how often the work actually repeats. A monthly contract may benefit from an automated schedule, but invoice creation must remain consistent with the service delivered and changes agreed with the customer.

03
Electronic billing and platform registration

The offer documents electronic invoice issuance across the different plans. Opening a user account and activating the electronic invoicing process are two steps to check separately: the help centre describes designating the platform and validating the registration. Do not assume that a button means your business is already correctly registered.

04
Access in French and trial phase

The Help Center states that Shine Invoice has been on the French market since January 2026, on the web and on mobile. It specifies to select the France to access the application in French and announces a month of trial without credit card. This path allows you to check the documents and useful access before deciding on a subscription.

The facts that change the choice

What to know about Shine

  1. 01

Shine specifies that Shine Account Pro includes bank account, billing and expense management, while Shine Invoice does not include business account.

  2. 02

The receipt and issuance of electronic invoices are announced without extra cost and unlimited in all Shine Invoice offers.

  3. 03

Shine Invoice can be tested for free for a month without credit card.

When this option makes sense

Who it is for: Independents who choose their billing separately from their professional account.

When to look at another approach: Do not choose a billing offer by thinking that it necessarily opens a professional account. If the main requirement is a means of payment, compare the Shine Account Pro grid separately.

Example: Maintain your bank and modernize billing

A freelancer who is happy with her current bank account does not necessarily need to move it to improve invoicing. She can compare invoicing tools on customer management, deposits and reminders. Conversely, someone starting a business who primarily needs a card or bank transfers should begin with the business account’s terms. This reasoning avoids a misleading comparison between invoicing fees and bank fees. For a team, also consider who needs document access: access included in a plan does not imply unlimited collaborators or identical permissions for everyone.

Price: what you really need to budget

Limits that may change your mind

Shine Facture and Shine Compte Pro cover two areas to compare separately. Shine Facture Free is limited to five customers; Start allows an unlimited customer base, while recurring invoices, multiple currencies and additional team-member access are presented in Plus. The prices consulted, 9 € and 20 € excluding VAT per month, apply to annual payment. The thirty-day trial does not automatically open a business account or create a validated registration with an approved platform.

Preparing your decision

Three checks to see if Shine suits you

Compare a business with three recurring customers with one serving twenty one-off customers, then choose the appropriate service and plan.

  1. Name the contract you want to subscribe to

Write your need in concrete terms: issue invoices, collect purchases or have an account and a card. Open the corresponding product grid. If more than one service is required, list their costs separately and check any inclusions to avoid duplicate subscriptions.

  2. Try the route of a modified quote

Create an example without sensitive data, change its amount before acceptance, and then check the conversion to an invoice and the processing of a deposit. Review the document your client would receive. A nice layout is not enough if you have to manually correct references and amounts in another tool.

  3. Number the year and return to a lower offer

The page consulted lists Start at 9 € excluding VAT per month, paid as 108 € annually, and Plus at 20 € excluding VAT per month, paid as 240 € annually. These amounts describe an annual commitment, not a monthly plan without commitment. Before choosing Plus, identify which feature you will use each month and check what happens to your records if you later return to Free or Start.
