monday CRM or Pipedrive: compare seats with team growth

monday CRM deserves a study if you want to adapt tables and automations to your organization. Pipedrive deserves a comparison if the follow-up of business and business actions is central. For a small team that recruits, calculate several numbers: Monday applies seat bearings, while Pipedrive charges the seats purchased.

Write rules before creating columns

An agency tracking quotations, partners and services may value customised boards. It must still define what an opportunity is, who owns it and when its status changes. In monday CRM, appoint someone to maintain this structure; otherwise, each salesperson may invent their own interpretation.

In Pipedrive, start steps that match verifiable events: qualified need, proposal sent, decision expected. A step called "in progress" does not make it possible to understand what is blocking. Define these events before building the pipeline.

Calculate the cost for four users, then six

monday's documentation describes a minimum of three seats followed by tiers: a team of four may have to buy five seats, and a team of six may have to buy ten. Check the purchase options applicable to the CRM. An existing monday work management subscription does not mean monday CRM is already paid for.

For Pipedrive, examine the seats purchased and modules needed. Prepare two hypothetical quotes with the same users and requirements; include automations, lead collection and required permissions. This avoids comparing two advertised prices that do not cover the same team.

Bringing a case back by someone else

Prepare an opportunity with two contacts, a revised proposal and a forthcoming follow-up. Change its owner. The colleague must be able to find the latest decision and understand the next step without reading every note.

Choose monday CRM if its flexibility reduces duplicate entry. Prefer Pipedrive if the team mainly benefits from a shared sales framework. In both cases, limit required fields to those used for an action or decision, then check that you can produce a usable export.

Moving from four to six commercials: anticipating the next level

Let's take this case: a team of four salesmen provides for two recruitments. The monday documentation describes a minimum of three seats, followed by tiers: four people require five seats, and six people require ten. At the same unit price, the number of billed seats therefore doubles in this example while the team grows from four to six people.

At Pipedrive, the calculation is based on purchased seats and options; an unassigned seat remains billable. This does not automatically make the plan cheaper: the price of the plan covering the desired features may differ. Request both totals for four people and then six, over the same term.

Good arbitration combines the cost of the next workforce and readability of the process. Check that the subscribed subscription is monday CRM. The calculation of seats gives the cost of the proposed staffing.
