Newsletter, audience growth and monetization.

At a glance

Is beehiiv worth considering?

Yes if you recognize yourself here: vendors and creators whose newsletter is a product. Newsletter, audience growth and monetization. Less suitable for: companies looking primarily for a CRM marketing multichannel. In this case, look at an alternative of the same category.

Official visual of beehiiv: what it represents

beehiiv Dashboard metrics view published in the official help documentation in July 2026. This is an official product visual, distinct from an interface screenshot. Logicelio relates it to the product’s positioning, “Newsletters, audience growth and monetisation”, and to these features: newsletter publishing, a publishing website, and growth and referral tools. It makes no claims about elements that are not visible in the image.

The visual comes from an official beehiiv resource.

What to remember before choosing beehiiv

beehiiv deserves to be studied when the newsletter is at the centre of the activity: an identifiable publication, an editorial line and a regular relationship with readers. Before considering advertising revenues or paid subscriptions, check that you can produce several useful editions at a sustainable rate.

Original Test Title: Beehiiv Review (2026): Is It The Best Tool to Grow and Monetize a Newsletter?

InterfaceFrench interface not listed by the vendorChecked on 21 September 2026

What beehiiv offers on a daily basis

01
Launch a publication without monetizing everything

Launch allows up to 2 500 subscribers and includes unlimited sends. This makes it easier to start publishing, but does not mean every tool on the platform is free. First, build a coherent publication with its sign-up form and archive.

02
Check the level of useful functions

The grid reserves in particular automations and paid subscriptions to Scale or beyond. Do not finance this level for a function that you have not defined for use. A documented reception sequence or recurring paid content are more specific needs than the desire to "monetize one day".

03
Maximum capacity is not the entry price

Paid tiers vary with the number of active subscribers. An advertised capacity of up to 100 000 subscribers does not mean the entry-level price covers that volume. If you manage several publications, calculate the combined number in the same workspace and check the tier in the quote.

04
Separate Audience and Income

Advertising or recommendation tools do not guarantee income. Set up your own tracking of subscriptions, unsubscribes and reader feedback. For a specialist publication, the quality of responses may be more useful than a size target disconnected from your business model.

When this option makes sense

Who it is for: creators whose newsletter is a regular editorial product.

When to look at another approach: If your priority is the detailed management of a sales or order cycle, compare the necessary integrations and data before choosing a platform centered on publication.

Example: a weekly job watch

Useful curation selects, explains and prioritises information for a specific audience. If the team already lacks the time to produce two issues, starting with growth tools adds a cost before solving the editorial problem. First validate the publishing schedule and feedback, then choose paid features that support a clearly defined revenue model.

Price: what you really need to budget

Limits that may change your mind

beehiiv distinguishes the plan type from the active-subscriber tier. The maximum capacity advertised for Scale or Max is not included in full at the starting price; publications in the same workspace contribute to the relevant total. Launch lets you start a newsletter, but automations and several monetisation features require a paid offer. Check the exact tier and production budget without treating growth tools as a promise of revenue.

Preparing your decision

Three checks to see if beehiiv suits you

Evaluate beehiiv on the complete editorial work and level corresponding to your anticipated audience.

  1. Design two linked editions

Define the reader, promise and appointment. Prepare two really different contents to check that the template facilitates publication without imposing the same fill text.

  2. Read the drive path

Check form, home message, mobile playback and archive. Use a small voluntary internal group and ask what everyone expects to receive after registration.

  3. Preparing for growth and exit

Simulate multiple audience sizes in the official calculator. Check the exports required for migration and the maintenance of the deregistration status. Keep separate software cost and production budget.

What EmailToolTester actually tested

This test was carried out by EmailToolTester, not by Logicelio. I cite it to provide a perspective based on actual use, without adopting its verdict as my own.

The protocol announced: Review based on methodology EmailToolTester, with analysis of the vendor, newsletter functions, automations, tariffs and usages.

EmailToolTester highlights the free plan, interface and monetization functions, while raising the limits for advanced email marketing and a high-input pay level.
