Brevo or ActiveCampaign: choose based on automation rules

The useful complexity of automation depends on the decisions it makes. Start by writing these decisions, their exceptions and the person who will monitor the course.

The decision to be taken

Does your sequence exceed the simple need?

Brevo and ActiveCampaign should be compared on a defined path: registration, qualification, message, response and output. Long automation is not necessarily better. Choose a situation where an explicit rule can avoid an oversight, then check the plan that can be executed and maintained by the team.

ActiveCampaign : check the length allowed

The grid consulted for ActiveCampaign limits Starter to five actions per automation and one user. Higher tiers change this scope, among other things. Do not assume that the capabilities of an advanced demonstration are available at the entry price.

Write the sequence before counting: wait, send, condition, change of information and possible transfer. Then build it in the proposed offer. If a rule exceeds the plan, first consider whether it is necessary. Artificially cutting a route to bypass a limit can complicate its tracking and exits.

Brevo: count the persons concerned

For Brevo, distinguish contact capacity, sending volume and automation limits. A plan may suit the newsletter while being insufficient for the automated workflow. Also check access rights if several people need to work on it.

If you want to combine marketing and sales follow-up, list the information that must pass between them. Should a reply create a task, change a status or stop a follow-up? Make that business decision before choosing the sales module or additional channel.

An example: a request for a training program

Someone requests a programme, receives the document and can ask a question. Then define two exits: they book an appointment, or indicate that they are no longer interested. The sequence must avoid an inappropriate automated follow-up after either response.

Prepare for duplicate registration and a change of interest. Ask who corrects the profile and how this correction affects the rest. This example is a proposed pilot protocol; it does not describe a campaign deployed by Logicelio.

Three maintenance criteria

  1. An understandable rule

Each branch has a business intent. A colleague can explain why the contact receives a message.

  2. A verified output

Unsubscribing, replying and the demonstration conversion produce the expected results, with no remaining follow-ups.

  3. An identified official

Someone rereads errors, controls plan changes and can suspend a sequence that has become inappropriate.

Select the required level

Retain the solution whose plan covers this course and whose maintenance team understands. Then compare the invoice on the same base size and the same access. The entry fee is only relevant if its limits are sufficient. If you only need a regular campaign, it may be better to keep a simple perimeter rather than immediately fund advanced scenarios.
