Business : +240 € excluding VAT per year monthly, +120 € excluding VAT with the annual
Qonto offers monthly billing without a long commitment and an annual payment covering twelve months upfront. Applying the amounts published by Qonto gives the following impact.
| Method of payment | Before | From October 2026 | Difference on 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | 119 € excluding VAT/month · 1 428 € on 12 months | 139 € excluding VAT/month · 1 668 € on 12 months | +240 € excluding VAT/year |
| Annual | 99 € excluding VAT/month equivalent · 1 188 € excluding VAT/year | 109 € excluding VAT/month equivalent · 1 308 € excluding VAT/year | +120 € excluding VAT/year |
The calculation uses simple arithmetic based on official prices: it excludes any additional fees, cards, transactions outside the package or add-on modules. After the increase, paying for Business monthly over twelve months costs 360 € excluding VAT more than an annual commitment at the published price, but annual billing requires paying for the full year upfront. See tariff conditions Qonto.
The increase of Business comes with a recast of financial tools
The price alone does not tell everything. Qonto states that it has incorporated part of the functions previously sold in separate modules into the packages. For new customers, this new structure applies since the 3 August 2026; existing customers who use an additional module must be migrated automatically before the 1er October 2026. Official Detail of Migration and Functions.
Three new modules are highlighted in the verified pricing the 23 September 2026:
| Module | Annual, monthly equivalent | Monthly | Needs covered |
|---|---|---|---|
| Automated billing | 12 € excluding VAT/month | 15 € excluding VAT/month | Recurring invoices, reminders and integrated signatures according to Qonto’s documentation |
| Project monitoring | 20 € excluding VAT/month | 25 € excluding VAT/month | Customer area, organization by project or client, margin tracking |
| Control of team expenses | 39 € excluding VAT/month | 49 € excluding VAT/month | Advanced approvals, four-eye validation and card checks |
Qonto also states that the old Invoice Management module Plus ceases to be a stand-alone module, that Customer Invoice Management Plus is replaced by Automated Invoicing and Project Tracking, and that Team Expenditure Management Plus is replaced by Team Expenditure Control. The correct calculation is therefore not "old Business versus new Business" if you already pay options: you have to compare your full bill before and after migration.
Who needs to check their subscription before October?
You are already on Business without module
Your main question is simple: are the features added to the plan worth the increase for your use? Qonto announces +20 € excluding VAT/month with monthly payment or +10 € excluding VAT/month as the monthly equivalent with annual payment. If you use neither the added financial features nor Business-specific allowances, compare the limits of Smart, Premium and Essential before retaining Business. The official tariff page details the operations, maps and functions included.
You are currently paying an old Plus module
Do not compare only the new base price. Qonto states that existing customers with a module are migrated automatically before 1 October and receive a legal notice. Some features move into the plan; others move to new modules. Check your next invoice and Qonto account after migration rather than extrapolating from the old module.
You choose Qonto now
The entry rate verified by Logicelio in the official data is 9 € excluding VAT/month for Basic with annual billing. Qonto also lists Smart at 19 € and Premium at 39 € per month excluding VAT with an annual subscription. These prices do not cover the same setup as Business: start with the number of transfers, cards, sub-accounts, users and workflows you need, then add the required modules. View the Qonto review.
Electronic invoicing: do not pay Business only to be compliant
Since the 1er September 2026, the companies concerned must be able to receive electronic invoices; small businesses, SMEs and the micro-enterprises concerned must issue them from the 1er September 2027. DGFiP recalls that the circuit goes through a Approved Platform. Institutional source verified the 23 September 2026: Directorate-General for Public Finance.
At Qonto, sending and receiving electronic invoices are announced as included in each subscription, without cost per invoice. There is also Qonto Billing, a free offer for independent and micro-enterprises with an active SIRET/SIREN. Qonto specifies that this offer is not a traditional Qonto bank account: it does not have a IBAN and does not allow transfers or payments by card. Source Qonto on the free offer.
Practical consequence: if your need is only invoicing and electronic reception, first compare what the free offer covers and other billing solutions before taking Business for this reason alone. If you need a business account, cards, payments and financial workflows, the reasoning changes.
Reversibility: change package and change PA are two different decisions
If Qonto is registered as your Approved Platform, leaving that PA involves more than disabling an option. Qonto documents a portability procedure: the new PA initiates the transfer, you confirm the request, and Qonto says it takes effect within five working days after confirmation. Qonto also states that from September 2026, a business within scope cannot simply remain without a PA. Qonto's electronic invoicing and portability procedure.
You can therefore decide that the bank plan becomes too expensive while temporarily retaining Qonto as a PA, or instead prepare a change of PA before closing the environment. Check the order of transactions with the relevant suppliers: an account, billing and PA migration affects different dependencies.
Stay on Business, get off or compare elsewhere?
- Take your actual Qonto bill. Record the plan, old modules, cards and additional fees. Without these, an increase of 10 or 20 € does not tell you your new total cost.
- List the functions you use each month. Separate business account and payments, customer billing, supplier invoices, team expenses, cash flow and approvals.
- Recalculate with the new structure. Use the price of the package that is enough and add only the new necessary modules.
- Test the exit scenario. Data export, transfer of payment methods, invoicing continuity and PA portability must be handled separately.

Frequently asked questions
What is the new price of Qonto Business?
From October 2026, Qonto announces 139 € excluding VAT per month with monthly billing, up from 119 €, and a monthly equivalent of 109 € excluding VAT with annual billing, up from 99 €. The annual payment covers twelve months upfront.
Are all Qonto packages increasing?
No. In its updated tariff documentation the 5 August 2026, Qonto states that Business is the only basic package with a change in price; Basic, Smart, Premium, Essential and Enterprise remain unchanged.
Is the Business package mandatory for the electronic invoice?
No. Qonto indicates that the electronic invoicing is included in each subscription. The vendor also offers Qonto Billing, free but without IBAN or bank transactions.
Can we leave Qonto as a licensed Platform?
Yes. Qonto documents portability to another PA, initiated by the new platform. After confirmation by the customer, Qonto announces that it will take effect within five working days.
Is the cheapest package enough for you?
Start with your activity record, not the most prominently advertised plan: required cards, transfers and direct debits, users, foreign-currency transactions and approval features. Compare these needs with the package limits. Overages and options add to the base price, so the starting price is not a complete budget for every business.
A purely arithmetic example: Basic paid monthly costs 12 × 11 = 132 € excluding VAT over twelve months, compared with 108 € excluding VAT with annual billing, a difference of 24 € excluding VAT before additional fees. This calculation does not require you to pay annually: the commitment and cash outflow must also suit your business.
Professional account paying and free billing: two perimeters
Supply Qonto Billing Free does not include IBAN or payments from the professional account. Do not choose Business only because you are looking for a billing tool, and do not assimilate the free offer to an account allowing cards and transfers.
