Tiime: invoicing, management and accounting collaboration

Invoicing, management and accounting collaboration.

Who is this tool for?

Yes if you recognize yourself here: entrepreneurs working closely with an accounting firm. Invoicing, management and accounting collaboration. Less suitable for: structures primarily seeking CRM or advanced business management. In this case, look at an alternative of the same category.

Prices0 €/month (Free) · Initial: 9,99 € excl. VAT/month (119,88 € excl. VAT/year, Tiime business account required)

HighlightsElectronic invoicing · Collection and classification of supporting documents
LimitsStructures primarily looking for CRM or advanced business management.

Tiime is relevant when difficulties arise between issuing an invoice, receiving a supporting document and sending records to the accountant. Its free offer covers invoicing; paid plans add accounting preparation and sharing. The choice therefore depends on the work you want to do yourself and the work already included in your accounting firm’s service. Check the contract before paying again for a service the firm already provides.

Who it is for: self-employed professionals and small businesses that want to submit supporting documents with fewer back-and-forth exchanges.

When to look at another approach: To manage a prospecting cycle, complex stocks or production, the shared accounting record is not enough: these needs require a business tool or integration.

Visual context

Official visual of Tiime: what it represents

Tiime presents this visual in the context of customer and payment tracking. Its documentation distinguishes invoiced amounts, outstanding balances and turnover. Before treating a total as available cash, identify the counter and tracking method shown; this presentation does not demonstrate successful bank reconciliation.

The visual comes from an official Tiime resource.

01
Invoices and quotes in Free

The official pricing table includes unlimited customisable quotations and invoices in Free, plus access to the approved platform subject to registration. For a freelancer issuing few documents, invoice count is therefore not the main reason to upgrade. The useful question is whether you only want to prepare documents or also reconcile supporting documents with bank transactions.

02
Initial: Tiime account mandatory, external banks apart

Initial adds purchase preparation and reconciliation with the Tiime business account. This account is mandatory, subject to eligibility; external banks are not synchronised in this plan. Smart covers bank synchronisation beyond the Tiime account alone. The partner email of 6 October specifies the deadlines: open the account within 30 days of subscribing, then use it within 30 days of opening with a deposit of at least 100 € or three transactions. Check these conditions before moving your payment flows.

03
Collaboration with the firm

The pricing page distinguishes an accountant’s access to electronic invoicing data from the full collaboration features in paid plans. Ask the accounting firm what information it actually retrieves, which supporting documents you still need to send and who resolves issues. The value of a shared workspace depends on clear responsibility for each missing document, not simply on two people having access.

04
Exports usable after Tiime

The documentation describes exporting invoices, quotes and customers from the web interface, with filters. On mobile, invoice exports may include PDF files. A file of data rows and supporting documents serve different purposes: keep both when your archiving requirements call for them. Above all, check the selected period and statuses so that you do not mistake a partial export for a complete set of records.

The additional cost to estimate

Initial costs 9,99 € excluding VAT/month, billed at 119,88 € excluding VAT annually, and requires an eligible Tiime business account. For micro-enterprises, Smart remains listed at 17,99 € excluding VAT/month and Business at 24,99 € excluding VAT/month with annual payment. Compare the annual amount paid and the account’s scope before subscribing.

The upgrade that makes a difference

Multi-user access, roles and permissions appear from Smart. Payment links, electronic signature of quotes, cash flow forecast and Make integration are announced in Business.

Limitations to consider

Free covers business documents and electronic invoicing data. Accounting preparation with bank transactions, supporting documents outside the approved platform and full collaboration requires a paid plan. The pricing table distinguishes company sizes and shows Initial, Smart and Business prices with annual payment. Features marked “coming soon” are not treated as available. Agree with your accounting firm which tasks its fees include before choosing a plan.

Dependencies to consider

Tiime strongly recommends working with a partner accountant to take advantage of the full accounting flow, but specifies that a non-partner firm can be invited for free to access the data of the Approved Platform.

Checks and examples

Example: an independent who already works with a firm

Suppose your accounting firm asks each month for the same receipts and explanations of certain transfers. Replacing the invoicing tool may be pointless if the real difficulty is supporting documents that are never photographed. First organise their collection and the assignment of requests. If Tiime becomes the shared place where these requests are resolved, the expected benefit is identifiable. If instead you prepare your own returns and want them produced automatically, compare Tiime's exact scope with a tool focused on filings, such as Indy. The word “accounting” alone does not describe the service you are buying.

Preparing your decision

Three checks to see if Tiime suits you

Reconcile a customer invoice paid in two instalments and an expense with a missing supporting document, then share the records with the accounting firm.

  1. Define what is included in the accountant

Take a month that is already closed and list the supporting documents submitted, additional requests and duplicate data entry. Ask the accounting firm to clarify which Tiime plan is accessible and which services its fees include. This preparation lets you compare the total cost: software, bookkeeping and work that remains your responsibility.

  2. Follow an anomaly until resolution

Using demonstration data, represent a partial payment and an expense with no receipt. Check who can see the remaining balance, how the missing document is flagged and when the accounting firm can process the transaction. The aim is to distinguish an imported transaction from one that is properly documented.

  3. Compare Initial to your current bank

Initial is listed at 9,99 € excluding VAT/month, billed at 119,88 € excluding VAT/year, in the price list dated 7 October 2026. If you want to keep and synchronise an external bank, compare Smart: Initial’s lower price does not cover that need. The Urssaf transmission announced in the partner email is still a forthcoming feature, not an available service to count on when choosing.

Other approaches for the work you need to cover

These options cover different needs and are not presented as identical replacements for Tiime.

  • Indy : Consider it if your primary need is preparing tax filings for your business status. Compare the scope of a filing plan separately from collecting supporting documents with an accounting firm.
  • Pennylane : Consider it with your accounting firm if you want to connect financial management and accounting production. Check the chosen plan’s users, volumes and permissions.
