Who is this tool for?
Compare Indy against three needs: invoicing for your legal status, recovering the correct bank-statement period and handing over usable records. The free plan allows FEC preparation, but downloading it requires a paid offer according to the official table. Also specify which tasks remain your responsibility or that of your accounting firm.
When choosing Indy, start with the records you need to submit at the end of the financial year. Ask who checks the accounting entries, who handles tax returns and which files your accounting firm expects. Having a business account or invoicing tool does not answer these three questions. Our assessment concerns these documented limitations, not hands-on use of your accounts.
Who it is for: freelancers who want to organise invoices and supporting documents and track bank transactions.
When to look at another approach: If you want to delegate all bookkeeping to an accounting firm, clarify its role and file exchanges before choosing. A software plan and an accountant’s engagement are different services.
Features and everyday use

Official visual of Indy: what it represents
View of the invoicing area published by Indy. This is an official product visual, distinct from an interface screenshot. Logicelio relates it to the product’s positioning, “Electronic invoicing and accounting for self-employed professionals”, and to these features: invoicing and quotes; automated accounting; and tax returns and VAT, depending on business status. It makes no claims about elements that are not visible in the image.
The visual comes from an official Indy resource.
The official comparison includes quotations and invoices in all three plans but currently excludes this feature for SCI and LMNP. Check your business type before comparing advanced options. A feature available to one self-employed professional is not automatically available under every regime.
The free offer limits synchronization to an account and does not capture all previous history. List the periods required for your file: the arrival of recent movements does not show that the previous months are present.
FEC preparation is included in the free offer; exporting it requires a paid offer according to Indy. Clarify the document and period the recipient expects before deciding which plan is sufficient.
The help documentation describes an accounting export that includes supporting documents and sends a ZIP file by email. Check the date range and open a sample of documents for verification. Receiving an archive proves neither its completeness nor successful receipt by the accounting firm.
What to know about Indy
- 01
Indy presents its billing tool as free, with unlimited quotes and invoices and electronic invoicing preparation.
- 02
Autonomie, formerly Premium, adds tax returns and electronic filing according to business status. For a micro-enterprise, the pricing table dated 7 October 2026 lists €180 excluding VAT/year (€15 excluding VAT/month), or €19 excluding VAT with monthly payment.
- 03
Sérénité delegates returns and the balance sheet to a partner chartered accountant. For companies, it costs €1,188 excluding VAT/year (€99 excluding VAT/month), or €119 excluding VAT with monthly billing; Exclusivité, with a dedicated accountant, costs €1,788 excluding VAT/year (€149 excluding VAT/month), or €179 excluding VAT with monthly billing. The scope varies by business status.

The additional cost to estimate
The Plus plan is listed from 9 € excluding VAT per month with annual billing (108 € excluding VAT per year), compared with 12 € excluding VAT per month with monthly billing. Autonomie varies by legal status: the starting price is therefore insufficient to budget for a particular business structure.

The upgrade that makes a difference
Upgrading to Autonomie becomes necessary if you expect Indy to automate tax returns and their electronic filing. Plus improves sales tracking but does not replace that tax tier.

Limitations to consider
The review presents Indy as a solution designed to simplify accounting for self-employed professionals and compares that promise with actual uses and limitations. The verified entry price is 0 €/month (Essentiel), with paid plans from 9 € excluding VAT/month (Plus, annual billing). Indy primarily targets self-employed professionals and small organisations; complex accounting, ERP requirements or multiple entities may exceed its intended scope. Check users, banking, exports, tax returns and collaboration with accountants: obstacles often emerge after the basic task of issuing an invoice.
Sources of these limits
What you can export
Indy lets you download accounting and tax documents, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, trial balance, general ledger, FEC and accounting journal. For the customer database, the help documentation states that an export can be requested through live chat rather than performed directly in the interface.

Dependencies to consider
Invoicing Indy only works in euros. A company that regularly charges in foreign currency must therefore check a complementary tool or other solution before centralizing its process.

Checks and examples
Illustrative example: sending a full year’s records to the accountant
A freelancer sees recent transactions in Indy, but her accounting firm needs a full year and the supporting documents. She first lists the missing months, arranges their recovery, then checks export permissions and the periods covered by the files. Choosing a plan solely for free invoicing would leave two questions unanswered: historical records and actual delivery of the file. This example illustrates a method; it does not describe an incident actually observed.
Three checks to see if Indy suits you
These are suggested checks for the reader to carry out. Logicelio does not claim to have performed them in an Indy account.
- Define expected delivery
Ask the recipient which document, financial year and format are needed, and who is responsible for corrections. Record the answers before comparing plans. Confirm how pending transactions are handled to avoid duplicate entries.
- Check for gaps in bank transaction history
Compare a known transaction in the bank statement and in Indy. Record the first and last missing dates and the connection message. If recent transactions appear but an earlier period is missing, prepare a request to retrieve that history rather than entering transactions manually.
- Check the exported records
Check that the plan gives access to the required file, then keep the downloaded original. Use a copy to check the period covered and whether the supporting documents are readable. Ask the recipient to confirm that the records can be used; an email delivery acknowledgement is not enough.
