CRM, marketing, sales and customer service.

At a glance

Is HubSpot worth considering?

Yes if you recognize yourself here: companies wanting to converge marketing, sales and service. CRM, marketing, sales and customer service. Less suitable for: small structures using only a very simple pipeline. In this case, look at an alternative of the same category.

What to remember before choosing HubSpot

HubSpot is easy to start for free but can become an organizational investment: licenses, mandatory onboarding on higher levels and credits AI must be integrated into the calculation.

What HubSpot offers on a daily basis

01
CRM

Prepare shadow contacts and companies with multiple exchanges and an opportunity. Check associations and a colleague's return. The quality of the CRM depends first on these common rules; importing all available fields can unnecessarily complicate monitoring.

02
Marketing Hub

Separate the contacts stored in the CRM from those used for your marketing actions. Describe form, targeting and sequence before estimate offer. Check the accounting rules and the necessary functions, rather than deducting the budget from the number of sheets.

03
Sales Hub

Recreate a deal with a next activity, an owner and an expected date. Ask another salesperson to identify the follow-up without assistance. Then compare the seats and features required for that setup, distinguishing access to view the record from daily use.

04
Service Hub and content/operations ecosystem

For support, follow a request from arrival to resolution and check the information provided by the sales teams. Review content and operations requirements separately. The purchase of a module should not be interpreted as access to the entire platform.

The facts that change the choice

What to know about HubSpot

  1. 01

The page consulted lists free Sales Hub tools for up to 2 users and Starter from €7/month/licence with annual payment.

  2. 02

Pro is displayed from 90 €/month/licence and mentions a mandatory single onboarding of 1 470 €.

  3. 03

Pay plans include monthly HubSpot credits, not carried forward, used by certain functions and agents AI.

When this option makes sense

Who it is for: companies wanting to converge marketing, sales and service.

When to look at another approach: Small structures using only a very simple pipeline.

Price: what you really need to budget

Limits that may change your mind

HubSpot is considered intuitive and comprehensive for small and medium-sized organisations, although costs can rise quickly at advanced tiers. The verified entry price is 0 €/month for the free tools, with paid plans from 7 €/month/licence (Starter). The free CRM is a starting point, but a small organisation with a simple pipeline may not need the complete ecosystem or advanced tiers. Test the pipeline, user permissions, automation and marketing modules you actually need before adding licences.

What the starting price leaves out

The additional cost to estimate

Sales Hub Professional lists mandatory onboarding at 1 500 $US, and Enterprise at 3 500 $US, in addition to the per-seat price. HubSpot also sells credits for certain AI features, so the actual cost may combine seats, onboarding and usage.

What you can export

HubSpot allows to export CRM records with their properties and associations. Activities like calls and notes follow other export routes or the API: a complete backup therefore requires several exports, not a universal file.

The upgrade that makes a difference

Starter is based on Core seats; for Professional and Enterprise, users who need all Sales Hub functions must receive Sales Seats. The type of seat thus becomes a cost and fee decision.

Dependencies to consider

A reduction in the number of seats purchased takes effect only upon renewal. Removing an unused seat does not correct the current invoice: licensing management must be anticipated before the renewal period.

Preparing your decision

Three checks to see if HubSpot suits you

HubSpot is selected by perimeter: distinguish the basic CRM, Sales Hub, Marketing Hub and credits consumed by AI functions.

  1. Contact, company and transaction

Import a small file with a duplicate, combine contact with a company and open a transaction. Check associations and consultation rights.

  2. Licensing and automation

Recreate a sales follow-up, then list the features that require a paid licence or a higher tier. Do not equate free access with a full licence.

  3. Deployment and start-up costs

Calculate the cost of the licences actually needed, any onboarding and credits. Examine exports and data access before adding another Hub.

What TechRadar actually tested

This test was carried out by TechRadar, not by Logicelio. I cite it to provide a perspective based on actual use, without adopting its verdict as my own.

The protocol announced: Dozens of hours on real pipelines, data imports and automation.

HubSpot is considered intuitive and very comprehensive for small and medium structures, with a cost that can increase rapidly on advanced levels.
